Our Story...

We are a Family Business Built on Experience, Love & Real Results

Our raw feeding journey began over 20 years ago with Bob, our first Border Collie, who struggled with severe skin problems caused by a wheat allergy. After switching him to a natural raw diet, everything changed — his skin cleared, his energy returned, and his quality of life transformed.

From that day forward, every CollieFlowers dog has been raised on a balanced raw diet, giving them the vitality, performance, and health they need to excel in both daily life and competitive sports.

We are deeply involved in the world of dog sport and train across multiple disciplines, but agility is our true passion. We proudly compete across the country and continually see how proper nutrition supports strength, focus, stamina, and recovery.

Who are we?

Sharon Bush is a Royal Kennel Club–accredited agility judge and a Good Citizen Dog Scheme examiner, offering decades of professional expertise and a deep commitment to canine welfare, training, and performance. She brings a highly informed, evidence‑based approach to every dog she works with.

Alongside her judging and competitive work, Sharon has extensive experience in maintaining the health, fitness, and overall condition of sports dogs. Her approach integrates appropriate physiotherapy techniques to support mobility, recovery, and peak performance. She is also knowledgeable in the principles of balanced raw feeding, helping dogs thrive in both sport and daily life.

Sharon remains passionate about demonstrating that—you really can teach an old dog new tricks.

Mark Bush has a lifetime of hands‑on experience in farming and animal care, working with animals of all kinds. He spent three decades as the Farm Manager at a local high school, leading daily farm operations and supporting agricultural education. His sheepdog, Bob was by his side throughout, helping with livestock management and teaching him even more about the incredible instincts and abilities of working dogs.

Growing up around farms shaped both skills and passion, giving a deep understanding of animal behaviour, welfare, and practical husbandry. Whether working with livestock, caring for working dogs, or supporting young people in agricultural learning, he’s always been driven by a commitment to calm, confident, and compassionate animal handling, bringing experienced, reliable, and welfare‑focused support across a variety of settings.

Outside of farm life, Mark also enjoyed success in dog agility, achieving a Grade 7, the  highest level in the sport, reflecting years of talent, training, discipline, and teamwork.

Meet the CollieFlowers !

Bob – The best sheepdog ever. Blue Peter badge winner and a one‑take wonder.

Taz – Carrying Bob’s sheepdog legacy and a star in agility with Mark.

Swift – All acceleration, no brakes. Always the fastest on the agility course… accuracy optional.

Flash – Always found to be licking something… Shoes, floors, radiators — nothing is safe!

Jem – Loved a boxing match and sofa cuddles

And introducing…

Link – the baby of the CollieFlowers, already asserting himself as a bouncing ball of energy.

Supporting British Farming

Raw feeding isn’t just about providing dogs with a natural, species-appropriate diet — it also plays a valuable role in supporting British farming and reducing food waste.

Across the UK, traditional butchery focuses primarily on cuts of meat intended for human consumption. However, a significant proportion of every animal — including organs, bones, trim, and other nutrient-rich parts — are not typically sold through supermarkets.

Rather than being discarded, exported, or rendered into low-value by-products, these parts can be repurposed into high-quality raw pet food.

Raw feeding embraces the ‘nose-to-tail’ philosophy:
• Muscle meat
• Heart, liver and other organs
• Bone
• Trim and connective tissue

These components are nutritionally valuable for dogs and would otherwise have limited routes to market. By incorporating them into balanced raw meals, we help ensure more of each animal is respectfully and efficiently utilised.

Using these secondary cuts and by-products contributes to:
• Lower overall food waste
• Reduced environmental impact per animal
• Greater efficiency within the meat supply chain
• Less reliance on ultra-processed pet food manufacturing

Raw feeding helps close the loop between farming and pet nutrition — making better use of resources already within the food system.

We are proud to source from British suppliers wherever possible. Choosing raw food made from UK‑reared livestock helps to:
• Support local farmers and rural communities
• Maintain high UK welfare standards
• Reduce food miles
• Strengthen British agricultural sustainability

When you choose raw feeding, you’re not just making a nutritional decision for your dog — you’re helping support an agricultural system that values quality, welfare and responsible production.

Raw feeding aligns closely with traditional farming values: respect for the animal, minimal waste, and practical use of available resources.

It’s a model that benefits:
• Dogs — through natural, nutrient-rich nutrition
• Farmers — through additional revenue streams
• The environment — through improved utilisation of livestock

Feeding raw is about going back to basics — using real food, responsibly sourced, and making sure nothing goes to waste.
